I have had a difficult time with letting go of the past for almost my whole life. I would never allow myself to buy new things because I could not stand to give up any of my old things. I decided that I needed to change that part of myself. My first order of business was to buy myself some new gold jewelry.

My old gold jewelry was so outdated but because of my sentimental attachments to it, I had a very hard time moving on. I opened it up to see the beautiful and shiny new jewelry that I had bought and I was immediately glad that I had allowed myself to move on.
