When bad things happen sometimes we just have to make the best of it. That is what happened when my girlfriend was cleaning her wedding band one day over the kitchen sink. She accidentally dropped the ring down the disposer side of the sink. She couldn't seem to reach the ring herself so she explained the situation to her husband who was glad to help out. By then it was dusk outside and the kitchen was getting dark.

In order to see better my girlfriend's husband went to turn on the light over the sink. Unfortunately, he hit the disposer switch instead. He immediately turned it off and flipped on the kitchen light. After a few words I cannot put into print he reached his hand into the sink and retrieved a rather mangled wedding band. The diamond stones had fallen out but he was able to grab them as well.

After cooling down a bit and some thought they decided to create a one of a kind gold jewelry pendant from the mangled mess. A reputable jeweler was able to clean up the gold and inlay the diamonds to make an interesting gold jewelry pendant. My girlfriend was happy to save the original gold and diamonds. She wears the gold jewelry pendant all the time. That and the the new diamond band her husband gave her along with the accidental gold jewelry pendant necklace!

I remember turning sixteen like it was yesterday. I was allowed to have a bunch of my friends over for a slumber party. We were going to watch chick flicks all night and enjoy cake, ice cream, and presents.

Not too long ago, my mom said she was cleaning out her jewelry box and thought she had some gold jewelry I may like to have. Christmas is coming, so I'm starting to think about my family and friends and what I should buy for them.
